About Australian Country
Mike Crozier’s Australian Country has been on air with Valley FM since the 4th September 1999, and on QBN-FM since the 12th September 2004. Covering the Australian Capital Territory, Queanbeyan and surrounding towns, the programme is broadcast to a population of almost half a million people.
Bringing you everything from Bush Ballads to Country Rock, Australian Country covers a diverse range of country music including, Contemporary, Country Gospel, Country Blues, Swing, Bluegrass, Folk, and Roots.
Australian Country features the Country Tracks Top 10, Australian Country News, Country Birthdays, and the Country Diary, to put you in touch with the latest gigs and events around Canberra, Queanbeyan and the towns in South-Eastern New South Wales.
Through his contacts, Mike will keep you up to date with the latest music, often gaining access to a CD before it’s release date. He is joined regularly on air by various artists and other personalities, talking about their music and other unusual topics.
The Resources of Australian Country
Australian Country’s music data base is in excess of 17,500 tracks and updated several times a week as new material is received. Independent Country Artists, their managers and agents are particularly encouraged to forward copies of their CDs.
Mike receives promotion CDs from NFS, CDX and a number of other Australian and International sources.
Australian Country is prepared at Mike Crozier’s office, using Cool Edit, internet facilities, and other computerised programs for the preparation of supplementary material.
Direct on-line facilities at his office enable Mike to conduct interviews by telephone for replay on both radio stations.
Mike has I-Pod and mini disc recording facilities for interviewing artists and others at special events and live at gigs.
